Committee Members

Dr. Smain Femmam is Director of Research at the University of Haute-Alsace and leads the Signals & Safety Systems research team at the École Polytechnique (Sceaux). He received his M.S. (1997) and Ph.D. (1999) in Signal Processing and Computers from Versailles University and earned his HDR in 2013. Dr. Femmam has held visiting positions at Carnegie Mellon University and West Virginia University. His research spans signal and spectral analysis, optimal filtering, wavelets, haptic rendering, real-time embedded systems, and sensor networks. He is a senior IEEE member, active journal editor and reviewer, and author/editor of multiple books and over 90 scientific papers.

Dr. Yun YANG is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Additive Manufacturing, National University of Singapore, specializing in metal additive manufacturing and multi-scale modeling. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Singapore where her research focused on constitutive modeling, machining simulations, and metallurgical characterization of metallic materials. Dr. Yang has been actively involved in research projects linking manufacturing processes with microstructural and mechanical properties, contributing to the understanding and optimization of metal forming and post-processing. She has published widely in the fields of additive manufacturing and materials processing and been served as reviewer and guest editor for leading journals.
